Who books this
Clients who want a proper facial without a machine, and anyone booking their first treatment with me. If your skin is generally healthy and you want to keep it that way, this is the one to put in the diary monthly.
Not suitable if
- You have an active skin infection or an open, broken area on the face.
- You have had injectables in the last two weeks.

Before your appointment
- Arrive with a clean face if you can, though makeup is fine and comes off in the cleanse.
- Tell me about any active breakouts, allergies or recent procedures when you book.
After your appointment
- Wear SPF daily. Freshly exfoliated skin burns faster.
- Leave heavy actives such as retinol for 48 hours.
- Drink water and keep the routine simple for a day or two.
FAQs
How is this different from Renew and Clear?
Essential is the manual facial with no machine. Renew (£60) adds professional microdermabrasion for dullness, texture and fine lines. Clear (£75) uses galvanic technology and high frequency for congestion and breakouts. If you are new to me, Essential gives us time to assess your skin properly first.
Do I need a patch test?
No. None of the skin treatments need a patch test. Arrive with clean skin and let me know about anything relevant in your booking notes.
Will my skin react afterwards?
A little warmth or pinkness for an hour or two is normal and settles on its own. If anything persists past 48 hours, message me and I will talk you through it.
How often should I book?
Monthly suits most people, because it lines up with the skin renewal cycle. If you are working on something specific, we can tighten that up.
