What is Classic Builder Gel?
Builder gel is a strengthening overlay that sits on top of your natural nails to add structure and durability. It’s ideal if your nails are thin, peel easily or never seem to grow without snapping, and you still want a clean, natural look rather than heavy extensions.
How your appointment works
- Nail health check – we look at your natural nails, discuss your goals and choose your ideal length and shape.
- Prep – nails are cleansed, cuticles are carefully tidied and the nail surface is gently prepared.
- Builder application – builder gel is applied in thin layers and sculpted to give strength without bulk.
- Finish – choose a sheer or nude shade, or a glossy clear finish depending on your style.
- Aftercare – nails are filed to perfection, finished with top coat and cuticle oil, and aftercare is explained.

- Avoid biting or picking the skin around your nails.
- Remove any heavy glitter or acrylic if possible, or let us know in advance.
- Tell us if you’ve ever had a reaction to gel or acrylic products.
After your appointment
- Use cuticle oil daily to keep nails and skin hydrated.
- Avoid using your nails as tools for opening or scraping.
- Wear gloves for cleaning or contact with strong chemicals.
- Book regular infills or removal to keep nails healthy.
