What is Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that lifts and sets your natural brow hairs into a new, more flattering direction. Using a gentle bond-softening solution, the hairs are carefully combed and fixed into a brushed-up, fuller position - giving the appearance of thicker, more defined brows without the need for pencils, gels or daily styling. It's ideal for brows that are unruly, sparse in places, grow downwards, or simply refuse to sit where you want them. The result is soft, fluffy and entirely your own.

Your appointment, step by step

  • Consultation & brow mapping – we talk through your goals, discuss your current brow shape and how lamination can enhance what you already have. Your patch test is confirmed and your natural growth direction is assessed.
  • Cleanse & prep – brows and the surrounding skin are gently cleansed, removing all traces of makeup or skincare so the treatment can work effectively.
  • Lifting solution – a gentle bond-softening solution is applied to soften the hair structure, making the hairs pliable and ready to be repositioned.
  • Shaping & setting – brows are precisely combed and shaped, then a setting solution locks each hair into its new lifted direction.
  • Tinting (if included) – a custom colour is applied to add depth and definition, tailored to your natural hair and skin tone.
  • Nourishing finish – a conditioning serum is applied to restore softness and hydration to the hair. We show you exactly how to care for them at home.

Perfect if you...

Not suitable if you...

  • Have active eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis or broken skin around the brow area.
  • Have had microblading, tattooing or semi-permanent makeup in the area within the past few weeks.
  • Have a known sensitivity or reaction to lamination products.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding and have been advised to avoid chemical treatments.

Results & longevity

You'll leave with visibly fuller, lifted brows that sit beautifully without any product. They'll feel soft, not stiff or over-processed. Most clients see results lasting 4–6 weeks depending on hair growth cycle, skin type and how well they follow the aftercare advice. As results soften, hairs gradually return to their natural direction rather than snapping back overnight - so there's always a graceful grow-out rather than an abrupt change.

Prep & aftercare

Before your appointment

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free brows and no skincare in the brow area.
  • Avoid retinol, AHAs, BHAs or strong exfoliants around the brows for 48 hours beforehand.
  • Don't wax, thread or pluck for at least one week before your appointment.
  • Ensure your patch test is complete at least 48 hours prior.

After your appointment

  • Keep brows completely dry for the first 24 hours - no washing, steam or sweating.
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms and swimming for 24 hours post-treatment.
  • Steer clear of retinoids, strong acids or exfoliants directly on the brow area for 72 hours.
  • Brush brows gently into shape each morning using a clean spoolie.
  • Apply a nourishing brow oil or serum daily to keep the hair conditioned and results lasting.

Looking after your appointment

Proper aftercare ensures your brow treatment heals beautifully and lasts as long as possible. Follow these guidelines for HD Brows, brow lamination, tinting, waxing, and threading.

  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching the treated area for 24 hours after your appointment.
  • Keep the brow area completely dry for the first 24 hours, no washing, sweating, or steam.
  • Avoid all makeup, skincare products, and cosmetics on or around the brows for 24 hours.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, saunas, and steam rooms for 48 hours.
  • Do not use exfoliants, retinoids, or harsh skincare products near the brow area for one week.
  • For brow lamination: Avoid getting brows wet for 24 hours and sleep on your back if possible.
  • For brow tinting: Avoid oil-based products and excessive cleansing for 48 hours to extend colour longevity.
  • If you notice excessive redness, swelling, irritation, or signs of infection, contact the studio immediately.
